Michael started out as a Remedial Massage Therapist, where he quickly saw how closely the mind and body are connected. That curiosity led him to study counselling—but while working as a counsellor, he noticed traditional talk therapy didn’t work for everyone. Some people found it hard to sit face-to-face, make eye contact, or talk about painful experiences. So, he looked for new ways to help and studied Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy. That’s where the idea for Active Therapy was born—an approach that combines hands-on activities with therapy to ease the pressure and help people open up.
Michael doesn’t just understand neurodivergence—he lives it.
