Your first session includes a comprehensive intake. These sessions are typically structured and designed to teach your therapist about you. Your therapist will ask you a range of questions and provide you with a space to talk about the reason for the session. Your therapist will provide you with information about how Active Therapy works and chat about what activities you are interested in. Some people know exactly what they want to do as an activity and choose to engage in the activity during this session.
After that, the core of the session is the same as any other therapy. You talk, we listen, we might ask questions to clarify some things, you talk some more, and we listen some more.

Active Therapy is a framework that operates outside of the restrictions of just one type of therapy, such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. Meaning if you start with Walk and Talk and decide you'd rather paint a vase in the next session, it is completely up to you. You can even do a different activity each session!
